Cats may feel threatened by a variety of things. It could be a sound, such as the hot water heater lighting, or a smell, such as a new person coming over to visit. Often, we as humans are not able to figure out what causes the fearful behavior because it may be a threatening stare from another house pet, or the aroma of another cat outdoors. No matter what the reason, it is important that a fearful cat gets help.
